Custom Travel Planning for Experience-Driven Adventures
Second Shift Adventures helps Canadian travellers plan custom vacations, group trips, cruises, family getaways, beach escapes, motorcycle trips, and experience-driven adventures with a real human in their corner.
The experience comes first. The vibe drives the destination, and every other trip element is curated around the kind of adventure you want to have. We help with the details that make travel feel smoother, smarter, and more personal: trip logistics, curated stays, thoughtful perks, smart upgrades, side adventures, and the little gems that turn a standard vacation into something worth talking about.
For custom travel planning that goes beyond “flights, hotel, done” — reach out. I got you.
Second Shift Adventures is an independent travel advisory brand powered by Fora Travel. Formal booking confirmations, supplier terms, and payment details are provided through the appropriate booking channel at the time of booking.

I love experience-based travel.
Like, LOVE it.
Because honestly — if you don’t come home with at least one “you won’t believe what happened” story… did it even count?
I’m here to help you spend your money on the stuff that actually matters: time, experiences, comfort, ease, and memories — and to find the right price point for the trip you actually want. Not cheap for the sake of cheap. Not fancy just to say it was fancy. The right fit.
If luxury flexes or hunting the absolute cheapest option are your thing — genuinely, you do you. No judgment. I’m just usually the best fit for travellers who care more about the story, the experience, and the “remember when…” moments.
I’m a certified travel advisor with FORA Travel, backed by a large agency network, preferred partners, specialist training, real booking tools, and access to added perks, offers, and trusted suppliers. Basically: I’m not just out here Googling and hoping for the best. I’ve got a whole lot of “let’s make this actually work for you” energy behind the scenes.
When I recommend hotels, routes, cruises, tours, or trip pieces, I pick them on purpose — based on what you want to do, what you want to avoid, and what will actually make the trip better. I’m not saving you $100 on a hotel if it costs you your time, comfort, or sanity. That’s not value. That’s punishment with a confirmation number.
In many cases, working with me doesn’t add an extra planning fee — supplier commission is often paid behind the scenes, not added as a sneaky surprise. If a separate planning or service fee applies, I’ll tell you upfront before you agree to anything.
The goal is to help you book smarter, not just cheaper. Sometimes that means matching or beating public booking-site pricing. Sometimes it means finding better overall value through preferred rates, perks, upgrades, smarter routing, cleaner logistics, or a trip that actually fits — not just the first thing the internet coughed up.
Help me help you: tell me the real stuff. Tall traveller? Accessibility needs? Celiac in Italy? Slower pace? Pool bar required? Hard no on sketchy bathrooms? Tell me. That stuff matters.
The best way to support Second Shift Adventures is to book through the links and quotes I send your way. That keeps this small business running and lets me keep building trips with good vibes, smart value, great stories, and zero bullshit. Because your vacation should feel like yours — not something pulled off a shelf, slapped into a cart, and called “good enough.”
You’ve got Questions?
I’ve got answers.
-
Second Shift Adventures helps you plan and book travel that actually fits your life, your budget, and your version of a good time. Whether it’s a beach escape, group trip, cruise, motorcycle adventure, family getaway, or “I just need out of here” vacation, I help sort through the noise and pull together options that make sense.
Less internet rabbit hole. More actual trip.
-
You submit a quote request with your trip details, budget, must-haves, hard no’s, and overall travel style. I review it, pull together options, and send you choices that fit the kind of trip you’re after.
From there, we tweak things together until it feels right. Once you’re ready, I help get it booked and organized.
-
Nope. A rough idea is plenty.
You can come in with a destination, a vibe, a budget, a date range, or just a general “we need something fun.” I’ll help narrow it down and find options that fit what you’re really looking for.
-
Absolutely. Group trips are kind of my thing.
Birthdays, anniversaries, friends’ trips, family getaways, bachelor/bachelorette groups, motorcycle trips, cruises, resort groups — if there are multiple humans, multiple opinions, and at least one person saying “I’m easy” while being absolutely not easy, I can help.
-
In many cases, yes. It depends on the supplier, trip type, and booking setup.
Where possible, I’ll help organize payment options so one poor soul isn’t stuck chasing everyone like a debt collector with a suitcase.
-
I’ll look for good value, not sketchy nonsense.
The cheapest option is not always the best option — especially when it involves terrible flight times, mystery hotel rooms, 11-hour layovers, or a resort review section that reads like a crime scene.
My goal is to help you find the best fit for your budget, not just the lowest number on the screen.
-
Yes. If something pops up while you’re away, you can reach out and I’ll do what I can to help guide you through it.
Travel sometimes adds a little plot twist. You don’t have to figure it out alone from a hotel lobby with 12% battery.
-
I wish. Truly.
Flights get delayed, weather gets weird, hotels have off days, and travel occasionally decides to humble everyone involved. What I can promise is that I’ll help you plan thoughtfully, understand your options, and work through issues if they come up.
No magic wand. Just a real person in your corner.
-
Yes, I can help point you toward travel insurance options and explain why it matters. I can help you look at what coverage you may already have and where there might be gaps worth filling.
Because “we’ll probably be fine” is not a travel strategy. It’s a dare.
-
Good. Tell me more.
The more honest you are about what you like, hate, need, and refuse to tolerate, the better the options will be. Picky is workable. Vague but secretly picky is where things get spicy.
-
Yes. Send them over and I can help compare the pros, cons, fine print, location, reviews, value, and overall fit.
Sometimes the “great deal” is great. Sometimes it’s located beside a highway and comes with emotional damage.
-
Quotes take time, research, supplier access, and care. The best way to support this service is to book through Second Shift Adventures when you’re ready.
If you’re mainly looking for free research to book elsewhere, no hard feelings — but this probably isn’t the best fit. My value is in helping you choose, book, and support the trip properly.
-
You can absolutely use AI for ideas. But travel still needs current pricing, supplier rules, booking terms, availability, fine print, payment deadlines, cancellation policies, and real-world judgment. I help sort the noise, compare the actual options, and in many cases access added perks or better value at no extra cost to you.
-
Nope.
Unless you and your crew require a “Magic Wand fee” - to fix your DIY mess. If a fee applies, I’ll tell you upfront. No surprise weirdness.
-
Once you’re booked, I’ll help keep the important details organized so you know what’s happening, when it’s happening, and where you need to be.
Between booking and takeoff, I’ll check in, make sure things still look good, and help make sure your key info is handy in a phone-friendly or print-ready format.
Prepared, yes. Over-planned into a joyless binder of doom, no.
-
After you’re home, I’ll check in to hear how it went. I may also invite you to leave a review.
The good, the bad, and the “we’d absolutely do that again” all help make future trips better — for you and for the next crew looking to get out there.
-
Our sister company, Second Shift Supply Co., handles all the merch side of things — the fun stuff, the useful stuff, and the “we should absolutely put that on a shirt” stuff.
Need custom merch for your trip, crew, event, or inside joke that got out of hand? Just say the word.
