Website Terms & Travel Planning Disclaimer
Second Shift Adventures
Effective date: May 19, 2026
Welcome to Second Shift Adventures. This website is designed to share travel ideas, trip inspiration, planning services, curated adventures, and general information about destinations, suppliers, and travel experiences.
By using this website, submitting an inquiry, joining our email list, or requesting travel planning support, you agree to the information below.
1. Who we are
Second Shift Adventures is an independent travel advisory business powered by Fora Travel. Travel planning, quoting, booking support, supplier access, and certain booking-related services may be provided through Fora Travel’s platform, systems, partnerships, and supplier relationships.
Formal booking terms and conditions may be provided separately by Fora Travel, the applicable travel supplier, or another authorized booking platform at the time of quote, deposit, payment, or booking. Where those terms apply, they will govern the booking in addition to this website disclaimer.
2. Website information is general
The information on this website is provided for general travel planning and inspiration only.
We do our best to keep information accurate and helpful, but travel details can change quickly. This may include pricing, availability, schedules, routes, inclusions, supplier policies, resort amenities, cruise itineraries, entry requirements, event dates, transportation options, and destination conditions.
Nothing on this website should be treated as a guaranteed quote, confirmed itinerary, confirmed availability, or final booking unless you have received written confirmation from Second Shift Adventures, Fora, the applicable supplier, or another authorized booking provider.
3. Quotes, pricing, and availability
Travel prices and availability are not guaranteed until booking is confirmed according to the applicable supplier, platform, or booking terms. Quotes may change without notice due to factors including supplier pricing, exchange rates, taxes, fees, fuel surcharges, availability, room category changes, flight schedules, promotions ending, or supplier policy updates.
A trip, package, room, cabin, fare, tour, or service is not held unless a supplier specifically confirms it is on hold or booked.
4. Supplier terms apply
Many travel services are provided by independent third-party suppliers, including but not limited to airlines, hotels, resorts, cruise lines, tour operators, transfer companies, excursion providers, insurance providers, and event operators. Each supplier may have its own terms, conditions, cancellation rules, change fees, payment deadlines, refund policies, liability limits, and traveller requirements.
By proceeding with a quote, deposit, payment, or booking, you may also be agreeing to the applicable supplier terms and conditions.
Second Shift Adventures is not responsible for supplier changes, cancellations, delays, schedule changes, service disruptions, denied boarding, overbooking, weather events, strikes, government actions, destination conditions, or other matters outside our direct control.
5. Traveller responsibility
Travellers are responsible for reviewing and confirming all travel details before booking and before departure.
This includes, but is not limited to:
legal names matching travel documents
passport validity;
visa, eTA, entry, transit, and health requirements;
vaccination or medical documentation where applicable;
baggage rules and airline requirements;
check-in times;
payment deadlines;
cancellation and change terms;
destination conditions;
government travel advisories;
travel insurance coverage.
Government travel requirements and advisories can change. Travellers should review official government sources before booking and again before departure.
6. Passports, visas, and entry requirements
Travellers are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports, visas, entry documents, transit documents, and any other required travel documentation. Second Shift Adventures may provide general reminders or resources, but we do not make final determinations about your eligibility to enter, transit through, or return from any destination. Airlines, border officials, cruise lines, tour operators, and other authorities may deny boarding or entry if documentation is incomplete, invalid, expired, or does not meet current requirements.
7. Travel advisories and destination conditions
Travellers are responsible for reviewing official travel advisories and making informed decisions about whether to travel. Travel advisories, local laws, political conditions, health risks, weather, natural disasters, transportation disruptions, and safety conditions may change before or during travel. The Government of Canada publishes official Travel Advice and Advisories for destinations outside Canada. Second Shift Adventures may help provide general information, but the final decision to book, cancel, postpone, continue, or modify travel rests with the traveller.
8. Travel insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
Insurance may help protect against certain unexpected costs related to trip cancellation, interruption, medical emergencies, baggage issues, delays, or other covered events, depending on the policy purchased. Coverage varies by provider, policy, traveller circumstances, destination, timing of purchase, pre-existing conditions, and applicable exclusions. Travellers are responsible for reviewing insurance options and choosing coverage that fits their needs.
The Government of Canada advises travellers to understand travel insurance before travelling and notes that travel advisories may affect insurance policies.
Second Shift Adventures may provide general insurance information or referrals, but travellers are responsible for reviewing policy wording and confirming coverage directly with the insurer.
9. Accessibility and mobility considerations
We do our best to consider accessibility, comfort, mobility, and travel-style preferences when planning. However, accessibility standards vary widely by destination, supplier, hotel, ship, aircraft, tour operator, vehicle, venue, and local infrastructure. Travellers are responsible for sharing any accessibility, mobility, medical, dietary, or support needs that may affect trip planning or participation. We will use that information to help recommend suitable options where possible, but we cannot guarantee that all destinations, suppliers, or experiences will meet every traveller’s needs.
10. Group trips and hosted experiences
For group trips, hosted adventures, event-based travel, or curated experiences, trip details may depend on minimum participation, supplier availability, event schedules, weather, transportation, local operating conditions, or other factors. Itineraries may be adjusted where needed for safety, logistics, supplier changes, or group flow.
Unless specifically stated in writing, personal expenses, optional activities, meals, drinks, gratuities, insurance, baggage fees, seat selection, resort fees, destination fees, visas, and transportation outside the listed inclusions are not included.
11. Website links and third-party content
This website may link to third-party websites, booking platforms, suppliers, social media pages, partner sites, or external resources. Those websites are not controlled by Second Shift Adventures. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, pricing, availability, privacy practices, or booking terms.
12. Email, inquiries, and response times
Submitting an inquiry does not create a confirmed booking or guarantee availability. We do our best to respond promptly, but travel availability and pricing may change between the time an inquiry is submitted and the time we are able to quote, hold, or book a trip.
13. Commissions and fees
Second Shift Adventures may receive commissions, referral fees, planning fees, service fees, or other compensation from travel suppliers, host agencies, booking platforms, or clients, depending on the trip and booking arrangement. Where a separate planning fee, service fee, or non-refundable fee applies, it will be disclosed before you agree to proceed.
14. Limitation of responsibility
Second Shift Adventures provides travel advisory and coordination services, but does not own or operate airlines, hotels, resorts, cruise lines, tour companies, transfer companies, insurance providers, venues, or other third-party travel services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Second Shift Adventures is not liable for losses, damages, costs, delays, injuries, cancellations, changes, missed connections, denied entry, supplier failures, weather events, force majeure events, government actions, or other issues caused by third parties or circumstances outside our direct control.
15. Updates to this disclaimer
We may update this Website Terms & Travel Planning Disclaimer from time to time. The most recent version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
