The Back Table is where the good stuff gets passed around.
Travel stories. Places worth knowing about. Things we learned the easy way — and occasionally the hard way. Useful advice, odd little finds, strong opinions, questionable ideas and the kind of recommendations you usually get from a friend who’s already been there.
Some of it will help you plan a trip. Some of it might send you somewhere you hadn’t considered. And some of it is simply a good story worth telling.
There’s no need to know where you want to go yet.
Have a look around. Follow whatever catches your attention.
You never know what might get planned around the Back Table.

Every month, I fall down a rabbit hole, obsess over it for a while, then bring the good stuff back to the table.
Sometimes it becomes a story.
Sometimes it becomes an adventure.
This month:
“OK - Hear me out….”
Unexpected places, unusual ideas, surprising stories—sometimes the best trips begin with something you just can’t stop thinking about.
Legends after dark:
I’ve always loved creepy stories, old legends and places with a slightly questionable past. Then I started chasing Dracula’s roots through Romania, and one rabbit hole turned into castles, folklore, Vlad the Impaler and a trip I now need to see for myself.
Miami After Dark | True Crime at Sea
I like the sea. I like Virgin Voyages. I like creepy stories. All in one slightly unhinged mash-up? Yes please. And while we’re there, why not add a couple of nights soaking up everything Miami has to offer?
For October:
We’re chasing a few ideas that sound slightly …. indulgent.
Beaches, food, beverages…. redefining how we live our best life!
Stay tuned…. :)
Don’t let your PTO disappear into the void.
The best end-of-year trips have a sneaky habit of becoming someone else’s plans first. If you’ve got vacation days burning a hole in your calendar, now’s the time to figure out what kind of escape you actually need.
